She turned around to the new voice, startled - but visibly relaxed when she saw who it was. “Mom,” She smiled, almost in relief. “I was just… thinking.”
Ifalna took a seat beside her daughter. She tucked her dress beneath her legs in a lady-like manner, hands resting gracefully in her lap. “What about? Something’s troubling you.”
She nodded, her smile slowly dissipating. She’d never been that good about hiding things, and she was even worse around her mother. “More or less…”
